Welcome to Knowledge Horizons PH. These Terms of Use govern your access to and interaction with our website and Learning Management System. By accessing, browsing, or using any part of the platform, you agree to these Terms of Use.

If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

  1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By using the website or LMS, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these terms.
  • You agree to comply with all rules, policies, and conditions posted on the platform.
  • Your use of the service constitutes lawful and authorised access

These Terms apply in addition to our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

  1. ABOUT THE PLATFORM

Knowledge Horizons Training and Development Services provides:

  • Self-paced online modules
  • Live webinars conducted via Zoom
  • Assessments and quizzes
  • Downloadable learning resources
  • Certificates of completion
  • Bundled learning programmes
  • Platform-based tools and interactive features

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time.

  1. ACCOUNT CREATION AND SECURITY

To use our courses, you must register an account.

You agree to:

  1. Provide accurate and truthful information
  2. Keep your password secure and confidential
  3. Take responsibility for all actions under your account
  4. Notify us of unauthorised access
  5. Avoid creating multiple accounts for improper use

Sharing accounts is strictly prohibited, as certificates and progress tracking rely on individual identity.

Knowledge Horizons may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if we detect unauthorized access, credential sharing, impersonation, or any attempt to bypass platform restrictions. We may also report fraudulent or unlawful activity to proper authorities and may preserve logs or evidence for possible investigation under applicable Philippine laws including the Cybercrime Prevention Act.

  1. ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

You must use the platform responsibly. You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or abuse others
  • Upload inappropriate or harmful content
  • Post false, misleading, or defamatory statements
  • Attempt to hack, bypass, or disrupt the system
  • Introduce malware, bots, or harmful scripts
  • Copy, extract, or interfere with platform data
  • Engage in any illegal, unauthorised, or unethical activity

Further:

  • You must not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, automated scripts, or artificial intelligence systems to access, extract, or reproduce any platform content
  • You must not deploy any automated or AI-driven tool designed to copy, harvest, or map the structure of our courses, modules, or LMS
  • You must not attempt to bypass or disable any digital protections applied to course materials, including content encryption access controls or digital rights management

We may remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion.

  1. COURSE ACCESS AND USAGE

Your enrollment grants a limited, personal, nontransferable license to access course content solely for educational use.

You may not:

  • Copy or reproduce lessons
  • Download content through unauthorised means
  • Share, redistribute, or reupload materials
  • Screen record or capture videos or slides
  • Use the content for commercial training
  • Modify content for any purpose
  • Access content after your enrolment period expires

Violations may result in termination of your access and may lead to legal action.

  1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Our Intellectual Property rules reflect the rights outlined in the Contributor Agreement (KH 2025 0006) and applicable Philippine IP Code provisions 

6.1 Ownership

Knowledge Horizons holds exclusive ownership of all original course modules created by contributors, including videos, text, graphics, and assessments.

Third-party materials that are royalty-free or properly licensed remain under their respective licenses but are legally incorporated into the module.

6.2 Restrictions

Users must not:

  • Copy or reproduce any part of the course
  • Record or capture any content
  • Redistribute Learning Management System materials
  • Use content for organisational or commercial purposes
  • Attempt to extract content outside the LMS environment

You acknowledge that no intellectual property rights are transferred to you upon enrollment.

Use of automated systems, including AI scraping tools, to extract or reproduce course content is strictly prohibited. Any such action constitutes a violation of intellectual property rights and may result in account termination and legal action under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.

  1. PAYMENTS AND ACCESS

All course fees must be paid through our accepted channels:

  • GCash
  • Maya
  • Bank transfer
  • Credit or debit card
  • PayMongo third-party payment gateway

Once you complete payment:

  • Access is granted according to the course you purchased.
  • Access durations vary and are stated in course descriptions.
  • All payments are final and nonrefundable as communicated prior to purchase

Duplicate payment issues may be reviewed on a case by case basis.

  1. LIVE WEBINARS

For courses with live webinar components:

  • Webinars are conducted via Zoom.
  • You are responsible for having a stable internet connection.
  • Recording or redistributing webinar content is not allowed.
  • We reserve the right to remove disruptive participants.
  • A missed webinar is considered a user responsibility unless otherwise indicated

Live webinars may be recorded for internal quality control, instructor evaluation, and platform improvement. Recordings will not be publicly released unless explicitly announced. By joining the session, you acknowledge that your name, image, voice, or chat interactions may be captured as part of the recording.

  1. ASSESSMENTS AND CERTIFICATES

To receive a Certificate of Completion:

  1. You must finish all required modules
  2. You must pass all assessments
  3. The certificate will reflect your personal account details

Certificates:

  • Are for completion only
  • Are not equivalent to CHED, TESDA, PRC, or any government accreditation
  • Do not guarantee employment or promotion
  1. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND TOOLS

Some modules may contain external resource links, such as YouTube videos or reference articles.

Use of third-party content is optional and at your own discretion. Zoom usage for webinars is governed by Zoom’s terms.

Knowledge Horizons is not responsible for third-party service failures.

  1. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY

We aim to maintain continuous operation but do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted access
  • Error-free performance
  • Permanent availability of all features
  • Compatibility with all devices

Scheduled maintenance or unexpected technical issues may temporarily restrict access.

  1. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

Your personal data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

We collect only data necessary for enrollment, certification, communication, and platform operation.

  1. TERMINATION OF USE

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these terms.
  • You misuse platform features.
  • You infringe intellectual property.
  • You engage in illegal or harmful behavior.

Accounts found to be using automated bots, AI scrapers, or similar tools to harvest content may be terminated immediately without refund. Knowledge Horizons may preserve relevant system activity logs and cooperate with authorities for any investigation arising from misuse. 

  1. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The platform and courses are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not warrant that:

  • Learning outcomes will meet your expectations.
  • Courses guarantee employment.
  • Content is error-free, though we strive for accuracy.
  • Content is suitable for all professional contexts

You assume full responsibility for how you use and apply course information.

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Knowledge Horizons is not liable for:

  • Loss of income or employment opportunities
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Technical failures, outages, or data loss
  • Damage caused by user errors or misinterpretation
  • External platform disruptions (Zoom, YouTube, etc.)

Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to discontinue use of the service.

  1. GOVERNING LAW AND VENUE

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

Any dispute shall be filed exclusively before the proper courts of Biñan City, Laguna.
